Just another day in this life.Views: 522

Had three doctor appointments today, craziness. I will not ever do that again. My first appointment was at the Chemo Clinic, I needed to give blood, they stuck me twice, blew both veins and only got a third of the blood needed. Picked up my pills for the trial I am part of, I was hoping to be selected for the IV infusion but got picked for the two pills every morning for three years, there is also part of the trial where you take one pill weekly. I complained alittle when I found out I wasn’t picked for the IV but then my son mentioned that maybe God already knows the pills work better and he chose which part of the trial I would go into.

Appointment #2 was my PCP whom I hadn’t seen for months, he checked my asthma and thyroid, gave me a flu shot and a pneumonia shot, two more sticks for the day.

Appointment #3 was with the radiation clinic, they moved my markers for radiation into the final position and I begin radiation on Monday. I will receive my “tattoo” markers in about a week or so, can’t wait.

So a recap of my week, seven sticks with needles, four doctor appointments and two fights with my boss, tell me I don’t know how to live it up!

You sure do get around! lol

I agree with what your son said about the trial. I kind of cringe when people say that things happen for a reason, but I do believe it.

Are you feeling better after all that chemo craziness? I hope so. Radiation should be a bit easier. I know, like any of this is easy?! Best of luck with the trial!

Lesson No. 1.
Never do more than 2 Dr. appointments at a time!

Lesson No. 2.
God’s walking beside you leading you to the right trail.

Lesson No. 3.
Fighting with your boss is good. It shows your still alive!

Angel,
WOW, I thought I had a busy day today until I read your post! But I’m glad you made it through it all. My Oncologist just talked to me today about doing what sounds like the same trial that you will be doing. But it will be a little later, I still have one more chemo treatment and then about a 3 1/2 week break before meeting with my radiation doctor and more about the trial meds. I just had my 5th chemo treatment today and I’m beat but can’t sleep yet . . . gotta love those steroids!
Keep us posted, you are just ahead of me in this crazy journey so I love reading your post.
Hugs,
Wendy
