On to the next stage!Views: 536

I went to see the Radiology oncologist yesterday and will begin my radiation treatments in about a week. Tomorrow I will get a CT scan for rib, heart and lung placement, about three days later I will go in and get my markers, then two dry runs to make sure everything is copasetic, then the real thing for 38 treatments, soon stage 2 of my treatment will be over and I will move onto stage 3. Woo Hoo!

I also have tiny little baby peachfuzz hairs growing on my head, looks like it might all be gray though, oh well at least I’ll have hair, when it gets long enough I can make it any color I want :).

So nice to hear from you. Thank you for the support. You are going through so much yourself and you are such a help to me. Everytime you write I am so happy to hear from you.
Nioxin can be found at beauty supply stores. It is, as my hairdresser says LIQUID GOLD. It makes your hair grow back super fast and if you use it 3 weeks before your 1st chemo, you do not loose your hair. I just found out about it 2 days ago.

I hope you have a great day!

Sonia

Hi Angel,
I thought you were only one treatment ahead of me, but I still have 2 treatments to go. Did you have 6 chemo treatments?
How long after your last chemo is your radiation scheduled for? I’m not sure how much time they give you before moving on to the next step so I thought I’d ask.
I hope everything goes really well for you. Keep us posted.
Hugs,
Wendy
