On to the next stage!Views: 476

I went to see the Radiology oncologist yesterday and will begin my radiation treatments in about a week. Tomorrow I will get a CT scan for rib, heart and lung placement, about three days later I will go in and get my markers, then two dry runs to make sure everything is copasetic, then the real thing for 38 treatments, soon stage 2 of my treatment will be over and I will move onto stage 3. Woo Hoo!

I also have tiny little baby peachfuzz hairs growing on my head, looks like it might all be gray though, oh well at least I’ll have hair, when it get long enough I can make it any color I want :).

Dear Angel; I am most curious what you mean by stage 3? You did chemo, now the radiation (38 treatments), that seems excessive for the type of cancer you have. I had the same surgery but no nodes were removed just checked. I had 26 radiation treatments but no chemo. When you put on your bio that you had infiltrated ductal carcinoma what does that mean? It would sound as if they found the cancer in the ductal area? If that is the case then I understand why all the treatments. But what is stage 3? You have me worried. Please respond. Weezie

hey angelwthwingz, glad to hear that you are finally are going to start your radiation treatment… glad so that it will kill any cancer that is there,,, You will soon find out that there is nothing to it. You don’t seen anything and you do not feel anything. I have had 37 radiation treatments myself, and they were all surprised how joyous i was every morning when i would go for the treatment… One thing is for sure “Be the happiest person there and don’t be afraid to laugh,,,,,,,, God it’s good for the soul but not only that it is also very good for other people to see you smiling and laughing about it… Positiveness,,,, that’s the key to it
My stage was at 3.5, and know what i worked all through it expect for 1 day a week when i would see both oncologist plus get my radiation treatment and right after that get my chemo treatment.. I hope that you are as fortunate as i was, because i have 2 super great oncologist.
Event though my chemo oncologist goes to the same church as i do,, she always says to me ” I keep an eye on you every Sunday and i know by the way you praise God, that you are thankful”.... And she is right,, without God’s grace and love i do not know where i would be at this time…
I kept on saying thank you every morning to God for the cancer that i had but also knowing that he could heal it or work through the doctors that i had..
So over everything else always stay positive about it, and make sure that you smile and laugh alot..
We will keep you in our prayers, that God will watch over you every second of the way, and don’t forget to say thank you because through this cancer you shall find that no matter what happens there is a greater power.
I send my love and prayers to strengthen, to guide, to protect, and for the grace to go through this
God Bless,,, your friend Rayoflights
